The Challenge

As the Challenge for Life team, we are challenging you to make a difference and stand for this cause with us. We will be leading the way, along with other committed individuals, and are confident that you will see the great impact that these diseases have so many people across the world. We have to do our part to find a cure.

This year, our local National Capital Area Chapter for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society celebrates its 16^th Anniversary. Between April 12^th and June 16^th the Allison’s Challenge team will vie for the title of Leukemia & Lymphoma Society Woman of the Year, and more importantly raise as much money as we can for this great cause.

The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society Man & Woman of the Year is a very unique and fun national campaign that focuses on raising money for the fight against blood cancers such as leukemia, lymphoma and myeloma. Candidates in 41 cities across America join forces to raise money in honor of the Boy & Girl of the Year – each child has or is currently battling blood cancer. The catch – we only have 10 weeks to raise money!

What’s the goal? For nine local teams to collectively raise a Million dollars at our National Capital Chapter. You must be asking yourself, how are you possibly going to raise a Million dollars in only 10 weeks? Well, it’s obvious we can’t do it alone, and we will need your help!
